A student MUST pass minimum 6 exams to become an HDA graduate. The table below lists the units and relevant assessment.

| For 5 exemptions in CIMA, students should take FA, MA, BCL, EM plus any two units |
| For full exemption in edexcel HND Accounting, students should take FA, MA, FM plus any four units |
 | For full exemption in CAT student should take FA, MA plus any four units |
| For 1 exemption in CPA (SQA), student should take FM plus any five units |
| For joining in stage-3 of Heriot-Watt University BBA programme student should take any eight units |
